Outstanding courses for those wanting to work with animals.

The Animal Management Unit at York is large and well stocked with a variety of species from mammals and reptiles, to temperates, tropicals, birds and fish. There is also a specialist Veterinary Nursing Centre. Our Westfield Farm, Bird of Prey Centre (York Falconry) and Equine Centre provide other excellent practical facilities.

The animal collection at our Guisborough Centre is housed in the Dave Cooper Animal Unit and there are animal collections at many of our other locations plus visits to the York campus as required.

Our links with Flamingo Land Zoo provide our students with opportunities to expand their animal experiences and can provide degree students with further opportunities for research and work placements.
