Sporting activities will always be popular, whether it’s an international event or a local community participating, the surfaces that are played on will always need highly trained individuals to maintain and manage these surfaces.

Askham Bryan College has a range of courses which are specific to this industry and has the facilities to enable individuals to practice their skills. There are a fantastic range of courses, enabling both school leavers and established Managers to hone their skills and earn a recognised qualification in the industry.

Campus resources range from Football Pitches, Rugby Pitches, Cricket pitches, Equestrian cross country course, and even a short golf course. The college boasts various machines to maintain the Sports Surfaces, and experienced and qualified tutors to guide you through your qualification.

Of course, all of these surfaces only cover local and small team events; to make sure we cover high end sporting events we have excellent links with Leeds Rugby Ltd; home of the Leeds Rhinos and classes are held at Headingley Stadium where students can gain experience of an international level playing surface at both Rugby and Cricket.
