Conferencing

Set just 4 miles from York’s Historic City Centre in the heart of Yorkshire, Askham Bryan College is an ideal choice for conferences, meetings, training seminars and exhibitions. The beautifully landscaped grounds offer our visitors a peaceful and relaxing environment with purpose-built conference rooms and free parking.

The College is just minutes from the A64 Leeds to York route, connecting Askham Bryan College with the national motorway network. The College is easily accessible to excellent rail links in York, and only 40 minutes from Leeds Bradford Airport.

Conference Hall

Whether you require a venue for an exhibition, product launch, large conference or a private party, with its own reception lobby and registration desk, the conference Hall is the perfect solution. Hexagonal in shape, the Hall adds an interesting design to any conference or event.

A range of presentation equipment includes a 3m square screen, stage, raised apron stage and a public address system. For evening events the Hall, with its beautiful wooden floor is the ideal venue for a dance, disco or any other function. A bar is available with a full range of services upon request.

Committee Room A

With views overlooking the beautiful lawn and grounds at the front of the College, Committee Room A is a newly refurbished conference room with adaptable layouts detailed below. The room has a screen and whiteboard included.

Committee Room B  

Committee Room B also overlooks the front of the College and has a modern look, again with adaptable room layouts detailed below. A screen and whiteboard are included in the room.

Both the Committee Rooms are suitable for Board meetings, Training seminars or smaller conferences. Both rooms have natural daylight with full blackout blinds or curtains.

Academic Facilities

Availability of academic facilities for commercial hire is restricted during term time, but is available freely at weekends and during holiday periods.    Capacity:

The Bar

A recently refurbished and modernised bar area. The bar can be hired for evening functions and parties with full bar facilities, dance floor and comfortable seating areas. It is available every Friday and Saturday evening during term time and any day or evening during college holidays.

Sports Hall

The College has a standard size, fully lined sports hall, which is available for private hire and block bookings throughout the year.

Please note changing and toilet facilities are situated in another building approximately 50 metres from the sports hall
