Rural Business Research Unit

The Unit has over 30 years experience in undertaking rural research and operates in the Yorkshire and Humberside Government Office region (GOR) and, more recently, in the North West GOR.  The core work is commissioned by Defra, especially the Farm Business Survey.  This work is undertaken in Conjunction with Rural Business Research www.ruralbusinessresearch.co.uk which brings together the expertise of six academic centres covering all the GORs in the country.

Other clients include Yorkshire Forward, National Parks, English Nature and the Food Standards Agency.  There are also collaborative research projects with the University of East Anglia.
