Train to Gain

Train to Gain is a new service designed to help businesses get the training for their staff that they need to succeed.

It can help improve productivity and competitiveness by ensuring that staff have the right skills to do the best job. Getting the right skills advice is essential for choosing the best and most appropriate training.

Train to Gain helps businesses to do this by:

• Offering free impartial and independent advice to businesses
• Matching any training needs identified with training
• Ensuring that training is delivered to meet business needs
• Identifying opportunities for wage compensation for small businesses by Government funds

As part of the York and North Yorkshire College consortium, Askham Bryan College is able to refer businesses to a training provider in the region that can offer advice and guidance on training needs across all business sectors.
