UK Landscape Skills Champions Keith Chapman and Tim Lancaster, who are both former Askham Bryan College students, and college tutor and team coach Harry Turner have today been awarded the Medallion of Excellence in the Landscape Gardening section of the World Skills International competition in Shizuoka, Japan. The team were placed fifth overall which is a brilliant result given the strength of the opposition which included teams from throughout the world. The gold medal went to host country Japan with France taking silver and Germany bronze.
The team are now enjoying a well deserved celebration and will be taking a much needed break after the rigors of the competition. Check back here for more news when they return to England.
