Tina was eventually selected as the winner and won £50 for herself and for the charity of her choice, Wakefield Hospice. She received her award for the work she does in encouraging colleagues to help out on the college’s farm and was presented with her prize by City of Council Chief Executive Bill McCarthy. The event was organised by Higher York and representatives from York St John University, the University of York, York College and Askham Bryan College celebrated the outstanding efforts of student volunteers from all four institutions.
