TV Vet Congratulates Askham Bryan College Students

TV vet Emma Milne has paid a visit to Askham Bryan College to present awards and prizes to successful students at a special ceremony held at the York Campus.

The ceremony was one of the largest events ever held at the College with over 550 students, staff and guests joining to celebrate the College’s best-ever group of student successes. These included honours degrees conferred by Harper Adams University College as well as further education qualifications and special prizes awarded to students who have studied at all the College’s centres in York, Bedale, Guisborough, Harrogate, Middlesbrough, Scarborough, Thirsk and Wakefield.

Emma Milne, the guest of honour, is perhaps best known for her appearances in the highly successful BBC1 programme, ‘Vets in Practice’, but has also featured in many other TV shows.  Askham Bryan College Principal Liz Philip says: "Emma has an incredibly busy life and only a few days ago she was at the House of Lords to receive the International Fund for Animal Welfare ‘Vet of the Year’ award for her work on pedigree breeding issues and at animal clinics in South African townships so we are delighted that she has been able to join us to meet all our successful students."
