Together with Flamingo Land Zoo we employ an Education and Conservation Officer. You will visit the zoo, see their collection of animals and find out what goes on behind the scenes. The opportunity of studying the zoo environment will help your learning experiences and give you additional which will be invaluable when deciding on your future career.

Thanks to partnerships with Prior Pursglove College, Wakefield College and Yorkshire Coast College you can study some further education courses in you home area, and still take advantage of the facilities at the York campus.

With every adoption you will receive

  • A quarterly newsletter about the animal unit
  • An adoption certificate with a photo of your adopted animal
  • Your name on the adopter's board within the animal unit
  • An opportunity to visit the animal centre once a year
