Main features

Operators are trained and then assessed in the safety and operation of tractors. Candidates will be rquired to hitch a trailer to a tractor.  Operator of a loader is optional. 

Course Content
Following attendance on this session candidates should be able to:

  • Identify key aspects of legislation applying to the safe preparation and operation of a tractor including the hitching of attachments and if appropriate a front end loader.
  • Prepare and operate a tractor safely
  • Carry out daily checks and routine maintenance.
  • Manoeuvre the tractor and attachment and operate both safely
  • State the procedures to be observed when cleaning and inspecting the tractor and reporting defects.

Training costs £255 per person
