Incorporating the National Award, this course combines a large element of practical work with lectures in classrooms and laboratories. There is also a period of industrial experience and the College can help in finding a work placement.
After successfully completing the course you can progress to a Foundation Degree in Arboriculture, depending on your skills and experience.
Most students find employment with tree surgeons, tree nurseries and botanic gardens of woodland estates whilst others with additional skills set up their own businesses.
You will usually need at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (normally with English and mathematics at a minimum of grade D) or equivalent qualifications such as a relevant National Certificate.
