The Extended Foundation Degree includes a foundation year for students without A levels and those who want to return to education after a period of employment, after a career break or to make a career change. The aim of the first foundation year of the course is to enable you to develop strong generic academic and vocational skills which will prepare you for more specialist studies in the later years of your course. This introductory year (or years, if you choose to study part-time) in horticulture can be studied on a full-time or a part-time basis. You will then progress to the subsequent years of your chosen Foundation Degree course.

There are no formal entry requirements but evidence of previous study at GCSE level or equivalent is required, together with satisfactory references and an interview.
