Main features

As with the level 2 qualification you will gain practical training at the work place and theory here at the college. This is a great qualification that will build on your management skills, as you will be looking after your own projects at your workplace.

What happens?

If you have completed your Level 2 then this is the natural progression. Depending on your experience and your supervisor it can take up to 2 years to complete. Some people wish to do both the Technical Certificate in year 1 and the Level 3 in year 2, whereas others may do both in one year.

Again you will progress with your Key Skills and gain other industry relevant qualifications alongside your NVQ.

This is an ideal qualification to apply to Sports Turf Management, so you could for example use it to apply for a Head Green keeper’s job, alternatively you could continue your education and move on to study the Foundation Degree in Sports Surface Management.

Entry requirements

Typically you will have completed Level 2 and / or 3 – 5 years experience in the industry.
