Level 2 Floristry
This course provides a good grounding in floristry with an emphasis on practical skills, backed up by some classroom work and theory.
This course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to floristry. Students will learn all about flowers, identification and use of foliage and plants, floristry designs for gifts and occasions, such as weddings, christenings and funerals in addition to the display and construction techniques used in the floristry industry and in floristry organisations. Work experience is also included during the course to gain practical experience within the business environment. Your work is assessed through assignments, practical work, written and spoken tests.
Usually at least 4 GCSEs at grade E or above including Maths and English (new GCSE grading level 3) with Science desirable. Alternatively a suitable Level 1 vocational qualification with English and Maths at Level 1.
Upon successful completion of this course students may progress onto a Level 3 Floristry course.
