Level 3 Floristry
This course is a step up from the Level 2 Diploma in Floristry, building on existing knowledge and demonstrating intermediate design and construction skills.
This course will help students to prepare for a supervisory role in floristry and will cover all aspects of retail floristry. You will learn about flowers, identification and use of foliage and plants, floristry designs for gifts and occasions such as weddings, christenings and funerals. Advanced display and construction techniques will be taught and students will learn more about the floristry industry and organisations they could work for. Assessment is by means of assignments, practical assessments, written and spoken tests. This course will enable you to embark on a full floristry career. You will also undertake some industry work experience, we may be able to help you find a suitable placement.
Usually at least 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (new GCSE grading levels 4 to 9) to include any 2 from English, Maths and Science with at least a grade D in the remaining subject. Alternatively a suitable Level 2 vocational qualification (Merit or above) with English and Maths at Level 2
Students can progress onto a Level 4 Floristry course on successful completion of this course.
