Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Services

Overview

The HND in Public Services course is designed for those seeking employment or those already in employment within the public services, who need to develop the knowledge and skills required in the workforce.

Description

The course includes a wide variety of subject areas and  the opportunity to carry out volunteer work experience. There is a fitness improvement element to the study programme to help prospective applicants pass entry fitness tests. The provision includes a variety of visits to various Public Services as well as undertaking expeditions.

The HND will ensure a competitive advantage in your career progression, improving your employment or promotion opportunities.

  • Fair Treatment in Public Services
  • Pyschology of Human and Criminal Behaviour
  • Technology and Public Services
  • Work-Based Experience
  • Employability Skills

Entry Requirements

Learners will have usually gained a Level 3 qualification in Public Services or related courses. Alternatively, those with suitable industry experience will also be considered.

Further Study

Upon completion of the HND course,  learners will be equipped to a career in the Public Services industry. Further study options are also available, as learners can 'top-up' their qualification to a full honours degree at university.
