Enjoy your Bank Holiday!
Congratulations to everyone who opened their GCSE’s today, two years of hard work complete.
If you didn’t quite get the grades you were hoping for then all is not lost.
Askham Bryan College offer Level 1, 2 and 3 courses in a number of land-based and general further education areas and we can find the appropriate learning level for you to progress into work, onto degree study or apprenticeships.
We can also start students who didn’t receive a Grade 4 for Maths and English onto a Level 2 programme for one year to progress onto Level 3.
It’s also not too late to enrol with us for September 2019, so if you haven’t already applied, make your application today and you’ll hear from us in time for enrolment.
If you’d like to discuss your options you can also come along to a Late Enrolment Event on the 2nd or 4th September to find out about courses, our free transport, accommodation, support services and anything else you’d like to know.
Visit our What’s On page on the website for dates or make an online application here https://www.askham-bryan.ac.uk/application/register
We look forward to hearing from you!
We’ve got another new addition to the Agriculture department for students returning or starting for the first time at Askham Bryan College this September courtesy of our partnership with Trimble Agriculture - UK & Ireland
Say hello to our New Holland T6 Dynamic Command tractor complete with five navigation systems, an amazing piece of equipment. Huge thanks to New Holland Agriculture and @Russellsgroup along with Trimble for making this possible.
Good luck to everyone collecting their #GCSE results tomorrow.
1st year Degree MACWC (Management of Animal Collections with Conservation) students recently took a trip to Scotland to take part in some Conservation Projects and Zoo Management talks as part of their course.
All the students enjoyed snorkelling with seals and sharks; whilst being involved in basking shark surveying and behaviour observations.
The trip also involved a visit to Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park and a Rare Breeds Society Farm, where the students learnt about the conservation efforts taking place. A fun trip for all, especially with the variety of Scottish weather and the first time camping for many students!
