Level 2 Apprenticeship Plant Maintenance (Construction)
Overview
This course consists of on-the-job training at your place of work with some College-based study scheduled throughout the year. This course aims to give apprentices a wide range of engineering knowledge and understanding to help advance their career prospects.
Description
Course themes include bench fitting and basic engineering, technical advancements in electro-hydraulics, computerised control systems, advance service and maintenance procedures, diagnostic procedures and operational inspections, welding and fabrication in addition to employer rights and responsibilities. The Level 2 Apprenticeship also includes functional skills (Level 1 English and Maths).
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry qualifications, though all applicants must be employed in a relevant industry.
Further Study
Upon successful completion of this course students may progress onto a relevant Level 3 course or into the Advanced Apprenticeship.
