If you're unemployed, seeking direction and ideas for your future, we have something to get you going the Team Programme. If you are aged 16 - 25, it's free and will not affect your Jobseeker's Allowance. It's ideal for those who want to improve their confidence and for those whose qualifications are holding them back. The Team Programme is also available for employees who would like a chance to develop new interpersonal skills to improve long-term career prospects.
What's in it for me? A chance of moving into a job, education or training, skills that help you in a job and in life, confidence building, a nationally recognised qualification, sense of achievement, career advice and help with job-hunting and your CV and the chance to make a difference in your community. You will, among other things, be part of a team of up to 15 people for 12 weeks, taking on community projects of your choosing and having an action-packed residential week whilst getting two weeks' work experience.
The Team Programme runs three times a year from each of the following 10 outreach locations: Askham Bryan College’s York Campus, Harrogate, Scarborough, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Pudsey, Shipley, Pontefract and Woodhouse in Leeds.
No formal qualifications required but a desire to progress to further eductaion or work is essential.
Upon successful completion of this course students may progress onto other educational courses or into employment.
