Level 3 RHS Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Health & Applied Propagation
This Level 3 qualifications not only offer opportunities for employment, but also enable you to begin to specialise in your area of interest.
This course can offer proficiency for those looking for employment in horticulture, can support further career and professional development for those already working in the field, or it can provide a basis for continued learning or training.
Modules in this course include:
- Garden survey techniques, design principles, understanding selection and use of landscaping elements, setting out and construction of landscaping elements, understanding elements within the garden.
- Plant taxonomy, structure, function, root environment, plant nutrition and growing systems, plant health management and applied propagation.
The course consists of four modules a year – running over two years – a total eight units.
A Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area is desirable.
Upon successful completion of this course studenst may progress to an RHS course at the next level or or go onto a career in the field of Horticulture.
