New Starters Enrolment Information 2022

Your enrolment journey

Step 1 - Schedule

Step 1 :

You will be sent information in August (via email) with confirmation of your enrolment appointment at the College.
Enrolment could take up to two hours, so please make sure you have made arrangements to be with us for that length of time. For parents/carers intending to wait during these sessions, refreshments will be available at our catering outlets between 9am – 3pm.

Step 2 - Essential Forms

Step 2:

You will be sent a link to two College forms. These must be completed before you enrol:

  • Complete the Work Placement form:

York, Saltaire, Wakefield and Middlesbrough (Stewart Park) Students – link to form

A handy guide to work placements can be downloaded here

  •  Complete the Consent and Indemnity form

Consent and Indemnity Form Link (If you are under 18 years of age your parent will also need to tick to say they give consent for the College to retain this information.)

Step 3 - GCSE Results Day

Step 3:

Even if they were not what you were expecting or you are still deciding on your September plans, we need to know! You should get a call from one of our team on results day to confirm these – it is very important we know your grades as soon as possible before you enrol.

Please note if you are 17+ and have your results already you can upload these before the 12 August. You can email a copy of your results to or bring a copy with you to your enrolment session. A scan or mobile phone photograph is acceptable if your name and grades are visible.

Step 4 - Specific Course Information

Step 4:

You will be contacted by your course tutor regarding your start date, timetables and induction.

Step 5 - Attend Enrolment Event

Step 5:

If your exam results weren’t quite what you were expecting (maybe they were lower or higher than you thought) or if you’ve changed your mind about the subject you would like to study with us, please do still come into your enrolment session and your course tutor can talk you through your options to make sure you enrol on the right course.

You MUST bring the following documents with you to enrol:

  • Exam result slips or certificates, and a photo copy for us if you can. This must include all English and maths results; without proof of your English and maths grades, you won’t be able to complete your enrolment
