Jane is the Director of Equitation , Chief Instructor and Trainer at the Yorkshire Riding Centre, training all the Instructors at the Centre and supervising the riding programmes for all the courses at the Centre.

Jane trains horses and riders in dressage and eventing. While some riders come for competition training, even up to the highest level, others have non competitive goals, and are happy to learn to ride at a lower level and would still like to improve and have fun doing so. Jane is happy to train those riders too.

Jane’s competition experience started with eventing with a number of horses and then specialised in dressage. Pinocchio was her mount when riding for Great Britain in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Many will remember the success they had in the Freestyle to Music and winning the Silver in Toronto in 1986.

Jane helped in the training of riders for the Olympics, as well as at Badminton, Burghley and Bramham. Jane also held the position of Chef D’Equipe to the Senior British Dressage team at Olympic, World and European Championships from 1993 to 2000.
