Askham Bryan Riding Club
Askham Bryan Riding Club is a British Riding Clubs affiliated club. It was set up in 2015 as a collaboration between Askham Bryan College and members from the local equestrian community.
The riding club was established to enable students at Askham Bryan to experience the benefits of being part of a professional riding club and in turn to allow members from the local community to have access to a wide variety of training events that the College offers .
The riding club uses the fantastic facilities at Askham Bryan College, including the 70m x30m indoor school with gallery and the 60m x 25m outdoor school. Registered professional coaches are invited to run training for all levels of riders.
The Club also runs competitions and camps which focus on both flatwork and jumping.
With the emphasis placed on having fun there are options to join in with Askham Bryan Riding Club's drill riding sessions and trec training sessions. There will also be the opportunity for members to take part in a variety of activities that they may not have tried before such as dressage to music, western riding and driving.
For those wanting to improve rider position and balance, members can have lessons working on this and the Club also runs personal fitness training sessions aimed at the rider to help improve stamina, suppleness, posture and core strength.
Askham Bryan Riding Club caters for students from Askham Bryan College who are sixteen years plus and members of the public who are eighteen years plus.
