The principles of plant growth and development is a theory based qualification which is a combination of lectures and demonstrations.
The modules include
- Plant classification, structure and function
- Plant nutrition and the root environment
- Maintaining plant health
- Understanding plant propagation
The course is assessed through written exams which occur at two points during in the course.
A keen interest in horticulture
Applicants are normally expected to have a level 2 already in English and Maths.
