What inspired you to pursue a career in your field?

Before I studied at college I didn’t feel I had enough confidence to work in the industry but after gaining a qualification I gradually built up my work catalogue which gave me lots of opportunities I have thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to work in education to encourage students to achieve their goals.

What do you enjoy most about your role at the college?

I enjoy the journey the students make from starting to finishing at college.

What is your favourite farm animal and why?

I love Jersey cows because they are cute!

Areas of Interest and Expertise

My areas of interest and expertise are breeding cattle, dairy cattle, and genetics.

What advice would you give to students looking to succeed in your subject area?

My advice is to get as many extra qualifications as possible while you are at college to give you a step up in the employability world.

What book, movie, artist or podcast do you always recommend?

I recommend the podcast ‘Fed by Farmers‘.
