Pooja Pandey
Agriculture- Agricultural Science and Technology Lead
Dr Pooja is the Agriculture Science and Technology Lead and a Higher Education Lecturer at Askham Bryan College. She holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from IPK-Gatersleben and Martin Luther University, Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, supported by a prestigious DAAD-Siemens Fellowship. Following her doctoral studies, she undertook postdoctoral research at Imperial College London, focusing on Plant-Pathogen Interaction. Prior to joining University Centre Askham Bryan, she worked as a Molecular Plant Pathologist at NIAB, contributing to applied research in crop protection and disease resistance.
Pooja is passionate about integrating scientific research with land-based education and is committed to advancing sustainable agricultural practices through teaching, research and collaboration with industry partners.
