Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park reopens, bringing new animals and fun for all the family this half-term

Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park reopen after their Winter pause, welcoming visitors just in time for February half-term on Saturday 14th February 2026. 

During the Winter pause, the Park underwent renovations of their Wildlife Corridor and introduced a variety of exciting new additions, including new enclosures and species. 

This February half-term sees the return of ‘Kids Go Wild, Kids Go FREE’. From Saturday 14th February till Sunday 22nd February, all children under 16 can enjoy Free entry into the Park. Open daily from 10am till 4pm (last entry at 3pm). Families can enjoy trails, talks, crafts and plenty of opportunities to explore.  

Lauren Lane, Animal Sciences, Conservation and Associated Enterprises Manager, said: “I’m so excited for the public to get to see what we’ve all been working on these past few months. Our season ticket holders got the chance to have a sneak peek last weekend, so I’m really looking forward to opening it up wider. 

The team have also worked really hard getting everything ready, it’s all been so rewarding.”
