Askham Bryan College win multiple awards and commendations at North Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026Â
Level 2 Arboriculture Apprenticeship student, Tom McBain wins Intermediate Apprentice of year at the North Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards 2026. Tom currently works for Amey as an arborist who regularly employ apprentices with Askham Bryan College as the training provider.Â
In the Intermediate category, Jake Fisher was also awarded the Highly Commended Award for his rapid progress on the General Farm Worker Apprenticeship. Â
Follifoot Riding Centre who employ multiple equine apprentices was also successful wining the prestigious; Small and Medium Employer of the Year for York and North Yorkshire for the invaluable daily work. Â
Ritchie Bywater, Head of Apprenticeships said: “It is fantastic to see so many learners make it to the finals of the region’s apprenticeship award ceremony and excellent to see Tom, Jake and Follifoot acknowledged in their respective categories, demonstrating the hard work they put in day to day. It is great testament to all employers of the finalists and staff from Askham Bryan College who help support the apprentices in their career journeys.”Â
