Jess Merrington

Hi! I’m Jess, and I’m currently a Marketing and Recruitment Assistant at Askham Bryan College. In my role, I am involved in creating and supporting the development of marketing materials and social media content, and assisting the recruitment team. All in the efforts to help promote the college to prospective and current students across our campuses. I am involved in everything from career fairs, events to social media communications.

Before joining Askham Bryan, I completed an undergraduate degree at Northumbria University in Film and TV Production. Alongside my studies, I gained experience in social media placements, helping make Tik Tok videos, website materials and promoting their services.

If I had to pick a course to study at Askham Bryan College, I would definitely choose Floristry. I love the idea of being able to turn creative ideas into something tangible!

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, and I also love creating social media content on Tik Tok for students doing GCSEs and A-Levels!
