What inspired you to pursue a career in your field?

I was inspired to pursue this career as I wanted to pass on my knowledge and experience to help inspire the next generation of farmers and engineers.

What do you enjoy most about your role at the college?

I enjoy spending time outdoors tutoring students and helping them gain the experience and knowledge to be able to complete tasks with greater confidence.

What is your favourite farm animal and why?

My favourite farm animals are pigs, they are a versatile weather hardy animal with several end products.

Areas of Interest and Expertise

My interests and expertise are engineering, combine maintenance and operation, vehicle mechanics, welding and fabrication, paint and body repairs and driving/ racing.

What advice would you give to students looking to succeed in your subject area?

My advice is never turn down a chance to learn something old or something new as there is more than one way to do most jobs so finding a way that suites you will make the job much easier.

If your students had to describe you in three words, what would they say?

Firm, Fair, Approachable.

What book, movie, artist or podcast do you always recommend?

I recommend Jenson Button’s Autobiography.

I used to race auto grass, I ride motorcycles and I like to travel.
