This 3 day course will cover the following:
- How to deal with emergency situations affecting operators working from a MEWP
- How to operate a chainsaw from a MEWP
- Health and safety and industry good practice with the use of the MEWP.
City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Use of a Chainsaw from a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP)
This is a 3 day course that will allow candidates to gain a Level 3 certificate in the use of a chainsaw from a Mobile Elevated Workplatform.

This qualification is for individuals who operate and carry out tasks in operations using a chainsaw from a mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) as part of their work in arboriculture, forestry, or other industries. It will provide the individual with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to carry out this work.

This 3 day course will cover the following:
Course Requirements
The minimum age limit for Candidates taking Certificates of Competence is 16 years. There is no upper age limit.
Candidates must have achieved:
Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting (CS30),
Level 2 Certificate of Competence in Felling Small Trees up to 380mm and (CS31),
Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (or equivalent versions) or relevant IPAF training certificate or card (MEWP).
Other Important Information
City and Guilds will no longer produce physical skills card upon a successful completion of this accreditation. Candidates can expect to receive a digital skills card which they will be able to access through their online portal. The training centre will be unable to send or provide this upon completion. All candidates will also need to provide ID on the day of their assessment as proof of identification. Failure to do this may result in your assessment being suspended.
