The Middlesbrough Centre is based at Stewart Park located in the heart of Middlesbrough’s premier park.

Following a successful Heritage Lottery Fund grant, the Grade II listed Central Lodge located at Stewart Park was transformed into a state of the art Animal Management and Land-based teaching facility in September 2017.

Our Middlesbrough Campus, in the heart of the Stewart Park, includes lecture rooms, a science lab, a learning resource centre, animal handling areas and workshops, which provide students with the best possible start to their career choice.

Students have access to the wider park which comprises 120 acres of parkland, including mature woodland, an arboretum on the southern side and two lakes, which provide habitat for a variety of species to help enhance study opportunities.

The campus offers a full range of courses that can either be full time, part time or Apprenticeships, and from Entry Level to Level 3 in the following  programmes of study:

  • Animal Management
  • Equine
  • Floristry
  • Land and Plant (Horticulture)

Additional to the main campus building is the Stewart Park Visitors’ Centre and reception as well as Henry’s Café, walled and kitchen gardens, all open to the public throughout the year. In the wider park the college looks after the animal enclosures housing avians, farm and other large animals including fallow deer, llamas and goats.
