Level 2 Sport and Public Services Study Programme (Sporting Pathway)
Students have the opportunity to study a variety of sports and areas of sport, in addition to this there are opportunities for students to join our football and rugby Development Centres which offer students the opportunity to combine academic sporting qualifications with practical skills development, coaching and competitive fixtures, while gaining a comprehensive overview of the sports industry. The main qualification element achieved from this study programme will be a Level 2 in Bushcraft Studies. The Sporting Pathway will offer learners the opportunity to explore aspects of the sports industry and will focus on skills required to lead multi sports activity sessions; including planning, execution and reviewing. It paves the way for further study at Level 3 or employment within the sports industry.
This Level 2 study programme gives learners the chance to seek progression to employment, further study or voluntary opportunities. The programme covers leadership skills, motivation, time management, team work and the chance to improve individual fitness.
